Player Ratings: Manchester City 3-1 Everton

A fantastic game of cup football at the Etihad as Manchester City beat Everton 3-1 and 4-3 over the two legs. The game was played at an excellent tempo and Everton surprisingly took the lead through Barkley, when things seemed to open up for him before he drilled home smartly past Willy Caballero. This in mind, City turned it up – and quickly levelled things with a deflected Fernandinho strike on the 24th minute. The game lulled for large parts and it wasn’t until the latter part of the second half that the game was won. In the 70th minute, Kevin De Bruyne put City ahead in the game and it was he who crossed in for Aguero to nod home the winner 7 minutes later. City will play Liverpool in the final in late February.
