Leonardo Bonucci hints at future Manchester City move

Manchester City need a massive revamp in their defence in the summer with only really John Stones justifying his place in the side with Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy are all free agents at the end of the season.

As quoted by the Manchester Evening News, Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has spoken out about his admiration for Pep Guardiola and his love for the Premier League.

City failed with a bid for Bonucci last summer but since then, the Italian has fallen out with Massimiliano Allegri behind the scenes and has been linked with a big-money exit.

“When the best manager in the world [Guardiola] says you’re one of his favourite players, you act like it’s nothing, but you still can’t help but have a smile on your lips. This praise only confirms my important progress. It’s always nice.

“It fascinates me. When I can, I watch English games, and not only for the quality of the players on display. I’m hot-headed, and I love the passion that exudes from their packed stands. It’s for that kind of thing that I’m the first on the training pitch and the last to return the changing room.”
