  • Pep Guardiola has left Man City after 10 years
  • The Catalan won 20 major trophies at the Etihad
  • City have now launched a new commemorative book

Manchester City have already honoured Pep Guardiola with an emotional farewell, but the club have now offered supporters another way to remember his historic reign.

The Catalan manager officially stepped down from his role after City’s final game of the season against Aston Villa.

Guardiola arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2016 and transformed the Citizens into one of the dominant forces in English and European football.

He won 20 major trophies during his decade in Manchester, including six Premier League titles and the club’s first Champions League crown.

Likewise, City have continued to celebrate his contribution since his departure. The Sky Blues have now launched a new book in his memory.

Man City launch Pep Guardiola book

Manchester City have now announced the launch of a new photography book celebrating Guardiola’s 10-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.

The hardback coffee table book, titled ’10 Years with Pep’, is available for club members to pre-order. It is priced at £65 plus postage and packaging.

City describe the book as a stunning large-format collection which tells the story of Guardiola’s reign through photography.

The book also includes behind-the-scenes images. Likewise, it covers his arrival at the City Football Academy in 2016, the trophy-laden years which followed and his emotional final match against Aston Villa.

Nevertheless, supporters who pre-order the latest edition are expected to receive it by Wednesday, September 30.

Guardiola leaves Man City with unmatched legacy

It is hardly surprising that City have chosen to produce a book dedicated solely to Guardiola’s time at the club.

The 55-year-old oversaw several of the most important seasons in City’s history and changed the expectations surrounding the club.

His side became the first team in Premier League history to record 100 points during the 2017/18 campaign.

Then, City became the first English club to win all four domestic trophies in a single season the following year.

The Catalan also led the Citizens to four consecutive Premier League titles, a feat no other men’s team had previously achieved in the English top flight.

New book adds to Man City farewell for Guardiola

City have made sure Guardiola’s final days at the club reflected the scale of his contribution. The former Barcelona manager was given an emotional farewell after his final game.

The club also commissioned an image of him surrounded by all 20 trophies he won in Manchester. However, Guardiola will remain connected to the City Football Group.

He has taken the role of a global ambassador, where he will offer technical advice and contribute to future projects.
