- Man City are watching another young forward
- Chelsea are also in the transfer picture
- Several European clubs are circling the teenager
Manchester City’s search for future attacking talent appears to have led them toward one of Denmark’s brightest young forwards.
Man City are expected to be active in the summer transfer window. With Pep Guardiola’s reign now over, the club is preparing for a new era at the Etihad.
The Sky Blues have already been linked with several senior targets, but their recruitment model has also continued to focus heavily on young players.
City have spent recent years signing talented prospects early. Now, a fresh report suggests that another teenage forward is on the club’s radar.
Man City scout Mikkel Bro Hansen amid Chelsea interest
According to Tipsbladet, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United are among the clubs chasing Bodø/Glimt striker Mikkel Bro Hansen.
The report claims that Barcelona, Juventus and Ajax are also in the picture for the 17-year-old striker. Likewise, the Citizens and the Blues have sent scouts to watch the Danish teenager.
Bro Hansen is already the captain of Denmark’s U17 side and has been attracting attention during the U17 Euros.
The teenager scored 12 goals for Denmark U17. He has also made progress at club level since joining Bodø/Glimt from AGF in 2025.
Bro Hansen registered seven goals in 12 competitive first-team appearances for the Norwegian top-flight side.
Bro Hansen’s numbers need context before hype
At international level, the numbers remain strong with 12 goals scored in just 15 appearances. However, the club numbers remain heavily influenced by cup competitions.
Of the seven goals scored for Bodø/Glimt, six of them were recorded in the 2025 NM Cup. Likewise, Bro Hansen’s league impact has been limited with one goal and one assist across five Eliteserien appearances in 2025.
He has also played only 29 minutes in the 2026 league campaign so far. Bro Hansen is still only 17, but at 188cm, the striker offers the profile of a natural finisher.
City would need to offer a clear pathway
Bodø/Glimt have already given the teenager regular first-team exposure and what appears to be a clear development pathway.
When signing from AGF in 2025, the Danish striker pointed out the Norwegian side’s clear plan for him and the chance to train with the senior squad every day.
City, on the other hand, offer elite facilities, world-class coaching and a possible route through the City Football Group.
However, a move could also place him on a more crowded pathway. Likewise, Man City will have to offer much more than their branding to convince the youngster.
